As a bonus, you will pay a short visit to a small town with a name that says about its origin by itself: New Hamburg. Stratford, New Hamburg and Guelf were founded by Scottish, English, Irish and German settlers in the first half of the 19th century. We will begin our sightseeing trip with Stratford. This city is well-known in the English-speaking world for its famous theatre festival. Stratford downtown is immensely attractive with its nineteenth century architecture, beautiful parks and gardens, walkways along Avon-River and Lake Victoria with its iconic swans. There are many restaurants, chocolateries, cafes, pubs and restaurants where you can dine or have a sip of coffee or beer. There are also fine art galleries, antique shops and shops where you can find fine china “Made in England”. We will visit the local Stratford Perth Museum with a curated collection of over 20,000 artifacts celebrating the rich history of Perth County, located at the scenic rural property.
